Dick O'Shea is an oil rig worker, who was situated on the Seascape rig up until its destruction. When the oil bed it was drilling catches on fire, Seascape sustains damage - Dick and rig superintendant Frank Hooper attempt to repair the buckled support leg, but find themselves trapped on the sea floor as the fire damages the rig further. Requiring International Rescue's assistance, the two are successfully extracted by Thunderbird 4.
Dick appeared in Atlantic Inferno.
Biography[]

The W.N.S. Atlantic, the flagship cruiser of the World Navy, was conducting missile tests in the vicinity of Seascape. Despite the Atlantic captain insisting no threat was posed to Seascape, a rogue missile detonates on the sea floor and ignites the gas field underneath it. International Rescue are called out to extinguish the fire, and the damaged seabed is capped by Thunderbird 4. However, the fire is still ignited and continues to burn underground.
The Fire Re-Emerges[]

With the fire still burning underground, the next weakest point in the surface is the area underneath Seascape itself! After a period of time the flames begin to break through the surface, damaging Seascape as they do so. Fearing they are in danger, Dick and the rig superintendant Frank Hooper once more call International Rescue and try to convince the organisation to evacuate them, but the outfit refuses - insisting the Navy performs the evac. However - the Navy is two hours away, and Seascape continues to take damage from the unstable seabed it is perched on.
One of the legs collapses, and the two take a diving bell down to survey the damage while they wait, and see if it is repairable. However, as they are descending, the rig sustains more damage, and their bell's tether is sliced - causing them to plummet to the seabed, trapped under debris!
As the situation has escalated, International Rescue once again launch an operation, this time to free Dick and Frank. Seascape continues to sustain damage, and as the legs buckle further, it threatens to enter the water, burying the two completely. When Thunderbird 4 arrives, aquanaut Gordon Tracy cuts through the cables, clears the debris and extracts the diving bell with just moments to spare, as Seascape collapses completely.

- The same puppet appeared twice in The Impostors: first as a spectator at the fake rescue, and again as Elliot. It played the sergeant at Satellite HQ in Cry Wolf. It also appears twice in Alias Mr. Hackenbacker: as a customer at the Café Atalante, Paris, and as a reporter at Building 67 - London Airport.
