Race was a character from Edge Of Impact. He was the pilot who took the new Red Arrow for its first test flight, but unbeknown to him, The Hood sabotaged the jet causing it increase its speed and turn back to the airport. The young pilot suffocated by the velocity attempting to regain control. The piolt blacked out and a red alert was sounded. Colonel Tim Casey ordered Race to eject, but the pilot did not respond. Eventually, the prototype crashed into the hangars at London Airport Military Facility, killing the young pilot inside. Casey watched on in horror feeling responsible for his death asking himself what went wrong. He then stepped down from the trials of the second Red Arrow jet.

- The Race puppet appeared in Terror in New York City as an audience member at The Ned Cook Show. In Pit of Peril, it played Sergeant Reynolds. In End of the Road, it was used as a stand-in for Eddie Houseman during the pilot scene.
