The Allington Suspension Bridge featured in Day of Disaster. It was weakened by a heavy storm and gave way when the Martian Space Probe passed over it, destroying part of the bridge.

The control tower is at the top of the central column, and can be accessed by an outside lift running up the side of it.

The bridge had a staff of five, the bridge controller, his assistant Dave Clayton, and at least three people responsible for maintenance - Chuck, Kirby and Gerry.
