Nutomic Charges were used by the Gray & Houseman Road Construction Vehicle. Their main purpose was for removal of rock, in the building of roads through mountain ranges. Carried in an Explosives Truck, holes are drilled into the rock face and the charges are put in place. Detonation is done from the truck when it is at a safe distance. Nutomic charges can also be launched from the Explosives Tractor's mortars.
Eddie Houseman used these type of charges in End of the Road, in an attempt to remove a unstable mountain peak about to fall into the path of the newly constructed road.
