Scobie and his partner-in-crime, Straker, are bank robbers, who are planning a spectacular Christmas heist of millions in gold bullion from the Second National Bank - by tunnelling into its vault from the next-door Harman's Department Store... via the store's toy department!
Scobie - voiced by Ray Barrett - and Straker both appear in Give or Take a Million.

Biography[]
The Bank Job[]
Scobie, with Straker's help, breaks into the Second National Bank from Harman's Department Store, just next door. After tying up the store's resident Santas, the pair of would-be robbers sets to work, first drilling into the adjoining wall - creating a hole large enough to climb through - and then firing a cable into the vault itself, aimed at the opposite wall.
Watch That Floor...[]
As he's slowly pulled across on a harness by Straker, Scobie must take care not to allow anything to fall onto the touch-sensitive vault floor, which is connected to the bank's security system. He cannily eyes the bars of gold, stacked on the shelves of the vault...
Overload[]
But, as time continues to pass, Scobie has become greedy... and as he overloads himself with gold, he slips nearer... ever nearer... towards the floor. Recovering, he eventually manages to get clear. Unfortunately, though, en route he's dislodged a pencil from a table, and it falls to the floor - setting off the alarm!
Escape by Rocket[]
Now desperate to escape, Scobie and Straker (having absconded with the store Santas' disguises) hide in the container of toys - unaware that it's about to be loaded aboard the special Christmas Rocket. The rocket blasts off, eventually dropping its special holiday payload by parachute over the grounds of Coralville Children's Hospital - and when the container is opened by hospital staff, they discover two very unconscious crooks inside!
