Germany is a country in Northwestern Europe. From 1945 to 1990, it was divided into two parts: East Germany and West Germany.

All the broadcasts listed below were German-dubbed versions.
In 1968, the German association of public broadcasters ARD aired one episode.

In 1989, the entire series was newly redubbed by WWF (Westdeutsches Werbefernsehen), and seventeen of these redubbed episodes were aired by WDR. WDR is also part of the ARD consortium. Among these 17 episodes, the following 12 were episode premieres:

Between 05-03-1995 and 19-05-1996, the entire series was aired by the commercial television channel Kabel 1, in 64 thirty-minute installments.

Age Restriction[]

As far as is known, Germany was the first country in the world to place an age restriction on the Thunderbirds television series, deeming it unsuitable viewing for children below the age of 6.
