Barely a day seems to have passed when Gordon is called upon again to save a Fireflash airliner. He transfers from Thunderbird 2 to Fireflash's starboard wing using the Air-to-Air Rescue Equipment. There, he chases off the Aircraft Saboteur, and, finding that the EPU wiring has been cut, manually holds it back in place, saving the plane.

Zero X's flight to Mars was a success; and now it's re-entering Earth's atmosphere, on the final phase of its long journey home. But then, one of its two massive lifting bodies collides with and damages the ship. Zero X is now doomed to crash, into an inhabited area - with its crew trapped aboard, unable to eject!
Thunderbird 2, with Gordon, Virgil and Alan, gives chase. From TB2's astrodome, Gordon sharp-shoots cables up into Zero X's open wheel-well...
... giving Alan direct access, and - barely in time - Alan rewires the damaged ejection controls. The crew blasts its way clear to safety, while the mortally-wounded Zero X meets a spectacular, fiery end, far below...
Thunderbird 6 (Film)[]
Gordon, the strategist: "We need a solution, and quick!"
