Guns of International Rescue[]

International Rescue's Standard-Issue Handgun[]

Probably the best-known hand-held weapon in IR's inventory is this one, which the Tracy brothers always carry when they're "on call" and, as such, is worn in a holster with their uniforms. (This includes space-monitor duty up on Thunderbird 5, where John and Alan are both seen wearing theirs.)

It's a versatile weapon, with three different colour-coded cartridges (red, yellow and blue) available depending on whatever a given situation may demand - one is always fitted for immediate use, with the other two stored in special pockets on their uniform belts.

Red (the most-often-seen) fires live ammunition; the other two, respectively, carry stun-gas and needle-darts.

Gordon Tracy's Handgun[]

Gordon used this particular weapon in the gun battle with the Aircraft Saboteur in Operation Crash-Dive, and in the gun battle with Doctor Godber in The Perils of Penelope.

Tracy Island Shooting Range[]

On Tracy Island, in the shooting range several types of hand-held weaponry can be seen - including revolvers, repeating rifles, Flintlock pistols, and the WASP standard issue handgun (from Stingray) - in a display case hanging on the wall.

Parker's Handguns[]

Parker is seen holding a pistol after he'd given chase after Doctor Godber, in The Perils of Penelope.

Parker sports a different gun, in The Duchess Assignment: after Lady Penelope realizes that the French Casino's gaming tables are "fixed," and causes a scene, Parker goes after the Casino Owner - but after a gunfight in the latter's office, his querry manages to escape...

Trivia[]

Parker also owns a Thompson Submachine Gun (a weapon most commonly used by American gangsters back during Prohibition in the 1920's), which he uses to take out the tires of Malloy and Selsden's car, in Brink of Disaster.

Lady Penelope's Handgun[]

In The Perils of Penelope, Her Ladyship was seen onboard the Anderbad Express holding a compact handgun.

She also used her handgun (or tried to, at least!) at the Old Mine, in The Impostors...

In Path Of Destruction, Lady Penelope used a Tranquilizer Gun to send Jim Lucas back of sleep after he'd given her the shutdown procedure for his out-of-control invention, the Crablogger...

Other Characters' Handguns[]

Carl's Gun[]

In The Man From MI.5, Carl shoots Captain Blacker with a "Henrietta 45 Supermatic" pistol, which - according to Lady Penelope - is not a very common weapon to use...

Jimmy Bondson's Gun[]

Also in The Man From MI.5, Jimmy Bondson's gun is seen in its holster inside his hotel room.

Casino Owner's Gun[]

In The Duchess Assignment, the Casino Owner trades gunfire with Parker while making his escape with the The Duchess of Royston's money.

Crooks' Guns[]

In Brink of Disaster, two crooks chase after Lady Penelope in a Ford Thunderbird car. She eludes them in FAB 1 - eventually blowing them off the road with the pink rolls Royce's rear-mounted machine guns.

Dempsey's Gun[]

In 30 Minutes After Noon, Erdman Gang member Dempsey uses his gun to shoot the lock off the gate of the Plutonium Store...

Doctor Godber's Gun[]

Doctor Godber has a gun (concealed in a dish) which he uses to kidnap Lady Penelope and fellow IR agent Sir Jeremy Hodge, in The Perils of Penelope.

Erdman Gang Member's Gun[]

Another Erdman gang member, who hitched a ride with Thomas Prescott, had a hand-gun too (similar to the one used by the Aircraft Saboteur)...

The Hood's Pistol[]

In The Mighty Atom, a stray bullet from The Hood's pistol causes a fire which eventually results in the explosion of an Australian nuclear reactor. It is similar to a Luger P08.

The Hood's Grenade Launcher[]

In Cry Wolf, The Hood fires what appears to be a rifle grenade into the cave entrance of a disused mine, trapping brothers Bob and Tony Williams inside...

The gun used to fire it is of a similar design to those used by Parker and Dempsey, as well as on the set of filming of "The Martian Invasion."

Lindsey's Handgun[]

In The Uninvited, Scott enters the Lost Pyramid of Khamandides and hears voices that lead him to archaeologists Wilson and Lindsey, who he's come to assist. But Lindsey has cracked up, and - believing Scott's really come to steal the pyramid's treasure - tries to shoot him! A gun-battle ensures - ending only when Lindsey is stunned, by two mysterious guards...

Madeline's Handgun[]

In Alias Mr. Hackenbacker, fashion model - and conspirator - Madeline hijacks the airliner Skythrust, in an attempt to steal her boss Francois Lemaire's valuable Penelon formula. She held a pistol to pilot Captain Ashton's head...

Mason's Handgun[]

Madeline's co-conspirator, Mason also sported a handgun of his own...

Aircraft Saboteur[]

Close-up of the Saboteur's handgun, used in a shoot-out with Gordon in Operation Crash-Dive.

Slim and Maguire's Hand Guns[]

In the "B" movie Martian Invasion, actors Slim and Maguire have "handguns" (likely fake or blank-firing props) as part of their Police uniforms, and used (with little effect) when confronted by Martians...

Southern's Gun[]

In 30 Minutes After Noon, undercover agent Southern is "outed" and disarmed by gang member Dempsey; but worse still is in store...

Victor Gomez and Johnny Gillespie's Hand Guns[]

In Move And You're Dead, Alan's race-car rivals Victor Gomez and Johnny Gillespie, hijack him and Grandma at gun-point...

Zombite Guard's Pistol[]

In The Uninvited, the Zombites - the pyramid's mysterious inhabitants - use handguns of their own making, when they take Scott, Wilson and Lindsey as their prisoners...

Wilbur Dandridge's Handgun[]

In The Duchess Assignment, Gazelle Automations boss Wilbur Dandridge kept a handgun (with a scope and silencer attached) concealed in his desk's cash-tin - and put it to use, when the crook Chandler tried to collect the money for the Duchess' priceless painting Portrait of a Gazelle...

Culp's Hand Gun[]

The Ambro River boatman, Culp, holds Scott, scientist Dr. Orchard and his staff hostage (and shoots Scott's own gun out of his hand, for not-so-good measure), in the episode Attack of the Alligators!

Penny's Shoe Gun[]

Lady Penelope's shoe gun was never seen on the show, appearing only in the comics.
