James Lionel Anderson (born March 1, 1985) is the son of Gerry Anderson and Mary Robins. He is the director of Anderson Entertainment, where he develops his father's unfinshed creations. He also works for Big Finish as a writer/director, having worked on both Doctor Who and the later Gerry Anderson creation Terrahawks.
Anderson wrote the foreword of Gerry Anderson: A Life in Pictures and was interviewed for the documentary Filmed In Supermarionation. He was also credited under "thanks to" and “with thanks to” on Thunderbirds – A Complete Guide to the Classic Series and the Thunderbirds 1965 episode The Abominable Snowman respectively, and was also one of the many backers of Thunderbirds 1965.
As a young boy, Jamie was never aware how successful his father had been in creating Thunderbirds. It wasn't until a resurgence in popularity during the early 1990s that he realised the true significance of his dad's masterpiece.
After the death of his father from Alzheimer's disease in 2012, he and Gerry's widow Mary Anderson took charge of the Gerry Anderson Estate.
- His 'official' first name is James; Jamie is presumably (and very likely) his preferred name.
