Robert Williams is a warden of Dunsley Fields who, while out with his son Aidan, discovers a Sonic Ejection Platform (Hydro-Methane extractor), which is extracting methane gas illegally from under ground. When they climb on board and report the abandoned machine, it begins operating - and creates a cave-in under the platform, trapping both father and son inside the cabin beneath the machine. Robert is injured, and gets Aidan to call for help. The younger Williams manages to get in contact with Gordon and helps him locate them by pinging Thunderbird 4, using a radio he built from parts of his homemade Thunderbird 3 model.[1]
