Roger Dicken (April 15th, 1939 - February 18th, 2024) was a special effects artist, model-maker, and sculptor. He was an uncredited model-maker on Thunderbirds. His work included building the hangars for Thunderbirds 1, 2, and 3. Dicken later worked on the feature film Thunderbirds Are Go, for which he also went uncredited. He sculpted the Martian rock snakes.

Dicken's other work in the film industry includes 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Alien (1979), and The Hunger (1983) - his last known work in the industry. He later sold a number of his creations (including an original Alien creature, which was bought by the Irish singer Chris de Burgh) at auctions.

In a 1992 interview, Dicken revealed that he was "somewhat disenchanted" with working in the film industry and was instead "doing his own thing, engaged in a number of creative enterprises."[1]

Dicken passed away peacefully at his home on 18 February 2024. He was 84.
