Simon Archer c. 1990

Simon Archer (1957 - September 1993) was Gerry Anderson's first biographer.

In 1993, while in the process of completing his manuscript for Anderson's first biography, Archer tragically died following a car accident. As a result, writer Stan Nicholls completed the biography which was published in 1996.

Five years later, a second biography was mooted with Anderson insisting that Archer's manuscript be used in the form of groundwork, with Marcus Hearn responsible for revising it. Also, Gerry and his wife Mary helped to make it a pleasure as well.
